With the upcoming EC Wallet 1.10.0 update, we’re excited to introduce XRP support! As part of this update, there are a couple of important things to know about using XRP with your EC Wallet.
What is a Memo and Do I Need to Add One?
A destination tag (sometimes referred to as a memo) is a unique identifier required when sending XRP to an exchange or service. It ensures the funds are correctly assigned to your account.
🔹 Good news! When selling or swapping XRP using your EC Wallet, the destination tag is automatically pre-filled for you. You don’t need to enter anything manually—just follow the usual steps to complete your transaction.
XRP’s Minimum Reserve: Why Can't I Use My Full Balance?
The XRP network requires all wallet addresses to hold a minimum of 1 XRP to remain active. This is not an Easy Crypto restriction but a rule set by the XRP blockchain itself.
🔹 What does this mean for you?
You will always need to keep at least 1 XRP in your wallet.
This reserve cannot be used for transactions or withdrawals.
If your balance drops below 1 XRP, your wallet address may become inactive.
We’ve made sure this information is clearly displayed in the EC Wallet, so there are no surprises when managing your XRP.
