Westpac Group customers trying to make payments to Easy Crypto via POLi have been receiving error messages and unable to complete payment.

We reached out to POLi who advised it was because WBC Group (Westpac AU, St George, Bank of Melbourne, BankSA) have placed restrictions on prohibited merchant categories.

As you know, banks change their stance with crypto all the time, so the Westpac Group may have implemented some kind of block on crypto transactions via POLi. We're not aware of anything official about this (usually we aren't advised) but we are monitoring the situation closely.
